"the supervision rolled out perfectly and I think that this new approach went down really well"
"[You worked with] two very different groups of workers including social care and health care staff of approx 20 each group. The feedback from the sessions were very positive with everyone motivated to develop the Solution Focused approach in their practice.
Your presentation was flexible to reflect the different needs of the groups.
Very clear terminology and thought provoking exercises.
You were able to maintain active interest and participation of the groups throughout.
Your approach is very accessible and reassuring and participants felt supported.
Participants feedback: — ‘I enjoyed the sessions very much and feel that Carole was brilliant in delivering the sessions’. (29/02/08)
Look forward to working with you in the future."
"Carole facilitated 2 full day sessions here at Bolton Hospice. One was a ‘Team Building Day’ for the senior management team which I attended, and one session focused on ‘Getting the Best from your Team’.
Both sessions evaluated well and we have cascaded many aspects of these sessions to other members within the team.
By bringing different members of the Hospice team together it greatly enhanced an appreciation of each others roles and responsibilities.
Carole's style of teaching was good in the fact that it allowed the group to participate into the content and structure of the day. The group work was excellent and many of the techniques used could be applied to other areas of our practice for example clinical supervision and mentoring.
I would certainly recommend Carole for future sessions here at the Hospice and to external organisations."
"Carole offered us the solution-focussed model and finally everything fell into place. Staff at all levels have been trained and I have been thrilled by their previously untapped abilities. The staff have been very keen and have thoroughly enjoyed learning the new skills and we are looking forward to putting our new clinical supervision scheme into practice".
I have known Carole for about 6 years, during which time she has been actively involved in delivering and supporting a wide range of ongoing training and development initiatives for health professionals across the North West.
Between 2005 and 2008 I commissioned Carole to provide Clinical Supervision Skills training for cancer specialists that made a measurable difference to the level of skill and confidence to offer supervision across Greater Manchester. Carole consistently delivers high quality effective training and facilitation that results in and supports real changes in clinical practice. Carole appreciates the challenges and issues that NHS staff work with and is able to use real life examples to bring her training alive.
In my experience Carole is an effective coach and mentor. She is always approachable, flexible and manages to combine being both supportive and challenging.
Her enthusiasm, depth of experience and highly developed skills as both a trainer and a coach mean that Carole has much to offer individuals and teams who want to optimise their impact.
